Abstract
Total Quality Management (TQM) menjadi acuan dalam pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan yang berbasis kualitas. Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang melalui Kulliyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) berusaha menghadirkan lembaga pendidikan yang berkualitas dengan cara mengimplementasikan Total Quality Management. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala dan solusi dalam mengimplementasikan Total Quality Management (TQM) di Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang. Kesadaran menejemen yang tinggi dalam pembangunan sumber daya pendidikannya berdampak baik pada pola menejemen yang ada Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini meliputi Wakil Direktur II KMI, Kepala Pengembangan dan Penelitian Akademik/Majelis Guru, Wakil I Bidang Pendidikan dan Pengajaran, Sekertaris Pimpinan, Ustadz/Pengajar, wali santri dan juga mantan wali santri Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan merujuk teori Miles dan Huberman yang melalui tiga tahapan yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kemudian data tersebut diuji keabsahannya menggunakan teknik triangulasi waktu, metode, dan narasumber. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi total quality management sudah mulai ada dan berkembang sejak awal pendirian pondok oleh KH Anang Rikza Masyhadi, M. A, Ph. D, faktor pendukungnya antara lain: Latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman pimpinan, Model Rekrutmen Ustadz dan guru, Pemberian buku pedoman ajar dan etika mengajar, Terhubungnya Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang dengan FPAG (Forum Pesantren Alumni Gontor) Pemanfaatan Teknologi dan media sosial, faktor penghambat total quality management pada Kulliyatul Mu’allim Al-Islamiyah (KMI) Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang adalah generational gap. ABSTRACT Total Quality Management (TQM) serves as a reference in the management of quality-based educational institutions. Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang, through Kulliyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI), strives to present a quality educational institution by implementing Total Quality Management. This research aims to analyze the constraints and solutions in implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) at Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang. High management awareness in the development of educational resources has a positive impact on existing management patterns. This research falls under qualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. The sources in this research include the Deputy Director II of KMI, the Head of Academic Development and Research/Teacher Council, the Deputy I for Education and Teaching, the Secretary of the Leadership, Ustadz/Teachers, guardians of students, and also former guardians of students from Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang. The data analysis technique used refers to the theory of Miles and Huberman, which involves three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and verification and conclusion drawing. Then the data was tested for its validity using time, method, and source triangulation techniques. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of total quality management has begun and developed since the early establishment of the pesantren by KH Anang Rikza Masyhadi, M.A., Ph.D. The supporting factors include: the educational background and experience of the leadership, the recruitment model for ustadz and teachers, the provision of teaching guidelines and ethics, the connection of Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang with FPAG (Forum Pesantren Alumni Gontor), and the utilization of technology and social media. The hindering factor for total quality management at Kulliyatul Mu’allim Al-Islamiyah (KMI) Pondok Modern Tazakka Batang is the generational gap.
