Yova Vanesa, Nim. 1120045, 2025, “Implications of Differences in Community Religious Organizations on Family Harmony from the Perspective of the Maslahah Family (Analytical Study of NUMuhammadiyah Couples in Tangkil Tengah Village, Kedungwuni District)”. Thesis of Islamic Family Law Study Program, Faculty of Sharia, K.H Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University of Pekalongan. Advisor: Uswatun Khasanah, M.S.I. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of married couples with different socio-religious organizational backgrounds, namely Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, in Tangkil Tengah Village, Kedungwuni District. These organizational differences often lead to variations in religious practices and social views that may influence family harmony. The study aims to describe the form of family harmony among inter-organizational couples (NU–Muhammadiyah) and to analyze the implications of these differences on family harmony from the perspective of Keluarga Maslahah (a family of welfare and virtue). This study employs a field research design with a qualitative approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with several NU–Muhammadiyah couples, while secondary data were collected from books, journals, and literature related to Keluarga Maslahah and family harmony. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the family harmony of NU– Muhammadiyah couples in Tangkil Tengah Village generally remains well-preserved. Differences in religious practices such as tahlilan, maulid, and modes of worship do not cause serious conflict, as couples prioritize tolerance, open communication, and mutual agreement in household life. From the perspective of Keluarga Maslahah, such differences can even enrich the values of justice (mu‘adalah), reciprocity (mubadalah), and balance (muwazanah). Therefore, NU– Muhammadiyah families in Tangkil Tengah Village can be categorized as approaching the concept of Keluarga Maslahah, as they successfully transform differences into a source of benefit and social harmony within their community.
