Abstract
Dalam era persaingan yang semakin ketat di sektor keuangan, lembaga keuangan mikro syariah dituntut untuk mampu berinovasi agar tetap relevan dan berdaya saing. Salah satu pendekatan strategis yang dapat diterapkan adalah Blue Ocean Strategy, yaitu strategi yang menekankan pada penciptaan ruang pasar baru (uncontested market space) melalui inovasi nilai, bukan sekadar bersaing di pasar yang sudah jenuh. Melalui strategi ini, lembaga keuangan mikro syariah diharapkan mampu menghadirkan produk dan layanan yang berbeda serta memberikan nilai tambah bagi masyarakat yang belum terjangkau oleh lembaga keuangan formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Blue Ocean Strategy pada lembaga keuangan mikro syariah dengan studi kasus pada KSPPS BTM Bojong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pimpinan dan karyawan KSPPS BTM Bojong, observasi kegiatan operasional, serta dokumentasi terkait strategi pengembangan lembaga. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KSPPS BTM Bojong telah menerapkan prinsip Blue Ocean Strategy dengan menciptakan produk dan layanan inovatif yang menyesuaikan kebutuhan masyarakat kecil, seperti pembiayaan usaha mikro berbasis komunitas dan program simpanan berbasis nilai sosial. Inovasi dilakukan melalui pendekatan pelayanan yang ramah, pemanfaatan teknologi sederhana untuk efisiensi transaksi, serta penguatan hubungan sosial dengan anggota. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala dalam penerapan strategi ini, antara lain keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, modal, dan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap konsep keuangan syariah. Implementation of Blue Ocean Strategy in Islamic Microfinance Institutions (A Case Study at KSPPS BTM Bojong). In an era of increasingly intense competition in the financial sector, Islamic microfinance institutions are required to innovate in order to remain relevant and competitive. One strategic approach that can be applied is the Blue Ocean Strategy, a strategy that emphasizes the creation of new market spaces (uncontested market space) through value innovation rather than merely competing in already saturated markets. Through this strategy, Islamic microfinance institutions are expected to offer distinctive products and services that provide added value to communities not yet reached by formal financial institutions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Blue Ocean Strategy in Islamic microfinance institutions with a case study at KSPPS BTM Bojong. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the management and employees of KSPPS BTM Bojong, direct observation of operational activities, and documentation related to the institution’s development strategy. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that KSPPS BTM Bojong has implemented the principles of the Blue Ocean Strategy by creating innovative products and services tailored to the needs of small communities, such as community-based microfinance and social value-based savings programs. Innovation is carried out through friendly service approaches, the use of simple technology to improve transaction efficiency, and the strengthening of social relationships with members. However, there are several challenges in implementing this strategy, including limited human resources, financial constraints, and the community’s limited understanding of Islamic financial concepts.
