Latar belakang penulisan tesis ini adalah beberapa problematika strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar adalah minat membaca anak yang rendah, siswa menganggap materi pendidikan agama Islam yang banyak sehingga terkadang timbul rasa bosan belajar, banyaknya mata pelajaran sehingga siswa-siswi mengantuk pada saat jam pelajaran terakhir, kurangnya akses internet pembelajaran, kurangnya pemahaman siswa tentang kurikulum merdeka salah satunya tingkat berpikir kritis siswa. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan? Apa saja problematika strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan? Bagaimana solusi problematika strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk menganalisis strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan. Untuk menganalisis problematika strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan. Untuk menganalisis solusi problematika strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam memotivasi belajar siswa pada kurikulum merdeka belajar di SMAN 3 Pekalongan. Penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, metode observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah guru memberikan motivasi kepada peserta didik dengan penjelasan bahwa membaca itu sangatlah perlu untuk seorang siswa, jika kita ingin memahami, mengerti suatu ilmu harus diwajibkan membaca, guru memberikan penjelasan kepada siswa bahwa walau materi pendidikan agama Islam itu sangat banyak namun didalam materinya banyak juga manfaatnya untuk kehidupan kita didunia dan akhirat nanti, jika ada siswa yang mengantuk pada saat jam pembelajaran terakhir maka guru bisa memberikan ice breaking atau permainan agar siswa tidak merasa mengantuk lagi, guru memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi arti tentang kurikulum merdeka, sering-seringlah siswa-siswi agar diajak selalu berpikir kritis dan menemukan permasalahannya. The background of writing this thesis is that there are several problems with the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum, namely children's low interest in reading, students perceive a lot of Islamic religious education material so that sometimes learning boredom arises, the number of subjects so that students sleepy during the last lesson, lack of internet access for learning, lack of students' understanding of the independent curriculum, one of which is the level of students' critical thinking. The formulation of the problem in this study is what is the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan? What are the problems of the Islamic religious education teacher's strategy in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan? What are the solutions to the problematic strategies of Islamic religious education teachers in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan? The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategies of Islamic religious education teachers in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan. To analyze the problems of Islamic religious education teacher strategies in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan. To analyze the problematic solutions to Islamic religious education teacher strategies in motivating student learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 3 Pekalongan. In this study, the authors used a qualitative approach to the type of field research (field research). Data collection techniques using interview methods, observation methods, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the teacher provides motivation to students with an explanation that reading is very necessary for a student, if we want to understand, understand a science must be required to read, the teacher gives an explanation to students that even though there is a lot of Islamic religious education material, but in the material has many benefits for our life in this world and in the hereafter, if there are students who are sleepy during the last lesson, the teacher can provide ice breaking or games so that students don't feel sleepy anymore, the teacher gives students an understanding of the meaning of the independent curriculum, often -often students are invited to always think critically and find problems.
