Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers' strategies and challenges when teaching vocabulary in English language classes. The study employs a qualitative design. The participants were eighth-semester students from the English Language Education Department. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Research findings indicate that English teachers frequently employ strategies such as games, word circles, dictionaries, and action-based activities during the learning process. Regarding the challenges associated with these strategies—such as student apathy and time constraints—teachers have demonstrated the ability to address them through a variety of approaches.
