Abstract

Abstrak Dictogloss merupakan salah satu teknik yang digunakan di kelas bahasa Inggris, khususnya untuk membantu dalam mempersiapkan argumentasi dalam praktek debat. Studi tentang teknik dictogloss dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris telah melibatkan laporan deskriptif fakta-fakta dictogloss siswa, seperti efektivitas penggunaan teknik ini di kelas debat. Mereka belum memaparkan permasalahan ini secara rinci, khususnya persepsi siswa mengenai penggunaan teknik ini dalam kelas debat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini membahas apa yang siswa pikirkan tentang penggunaan teknik dictogloss selama debat EFL di kelas. Dengan menggunakan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur yang melibatkan 5 (lima) mahasiswa yang pernah mengikuti mata kuliah debat. Melalui penelitian ini, telah terungkap respon siswa ketika menggunakan teknik dictogloss. ABSTRACT Abstract Dictogloss is one technique used in the English language classroom, especially to assist in preparing arguments in the practice of debate. Studies on the dictogloss technique in English language learning have involved the descriptive report of students’ dictogloss facts, such as the effectiveness of using this technique in the debate classroom. They have not yet exposed the issue in much detail, especially in students’ perception of using this technique in a classroom debate. Therefore, this study addresses what the students think about the use of dictogloss technique during the EFL debate classroom. Using a case study, the data were collected through semi-structured interviews involving 5 (five) students who had participated in a debate course. Through this study, students' responses were revealed when using the dictogloss technique.
